About us


The Violet Jive are led by u.k based
guitarist/singer Steve Spall. Also featuring Double Bass and Drums (and ocassionally Sax or Trumpet to make a four piece) theirs is a jazz sound but with an alternative dark twist based on songs with colourful lyrics, riffs and melodies that appeal to a wide audience of music lovers. The Band recently performed a live session for BBC Radio Kent and received air play for their song 'Grey Squares' leading to an influx of new fans and dates for 2008.

50's style tremelo jazz guitar, breathy vocals, jungle jive drums and swinging Double Bass combine to create a voluptuous sound with a cool dark twist!
