About us
Born in a bedroom in Whalley Range, the music of The Tracks has drawn comparison with reference points as varied as the Jesus & Mary Chain, Dylan, Belle & Sebastian and The Strokes. But, from the thundering bass line of Statement Of Intent, to the dark groove of Beautiful Me, Beautiful You through to the euphoric release of It Doesn't Matter, this is clearly a band with its own voice.
The band are based in Chorlton, South Manchster, and recently slimmed down from a five to a four-piece. They started 2008 with a stack of new material, which has just been recorded as The Tracks EP - two of the tracks from it are featured on this site (Statement Of Intent and Resistance Is Down). The Tracks gig regularly on the Manchester circuit.
