About us


MOnKey PuZzle TrEe first formed back in 2002.
Back then we were a 5-piece band.
Our first ever gig was at 'The Cartoon' in Croydon. And since then we have played numerous venues including 'The Hope & Anchor' (Islington), The Borderline & also 'The Camden Underworld'.
Now in 2007 with two of the original members left: Janine (Vocals) & Mick (Guitar). We are now all cosy with our newest members: Bill (Bass) & Paul (Drums).

Our sound has slightly changed since the beginning and our Live sets are much more Rockier & Heavier & definately LOUDER.
Gotta be LOUD!!!!!!!!!! MUST BE LOUD!!!!!!!!!!
I Lurve IT!!!

One day I hope will be able to capture that real sound in a recording studio. (headphones whats all that about hey?)

MOnKey PuZzle TrEe (aka MPT)

Started in 2000 as a small project and kicked into a rocking screaming band in 2003.
Originally a five piece various line-up changes have now made the band a four piece.
The female fronted band now has Janine (Vox), Mick (Guitars), Bill (Bass), and Paul (Drums).
Lots of people ask us what we sound like, the truth is we’re a rock band what kind, and yeah we’ve heard all kinds of labels being throw at us, we don’t know.
Have a listen and make your own mind up!!

MPT has gigged around the country and London. We’ve freezed at Xmas time doing an outdoor gig (ho ho ho). We have even played South London’s hardest venue (not musically) and gone down well!
We’re a loud and simple rock band that writes original stuff and plays one or two covers in our own original style…our cover of Riders on the Storm ain’t no slow keyboard groove, ‘cause we ain’t got no keyboard player!!!
