What is Uploaded?

Xfm's Uploaded is a search to find the best unsigned Artists in the UK. You can win the chance to have your song played in full on the music response show on XFM.

How do I vote?

Firstly you need to sign up, click on the sign up page and follow the instructions this will then give you access to vote for the 'Featured Artists'.

On each featured band's page you will see a 'Vote for this band' box if you like the band click on the button and vote for them, then every week 4 bands from each region will be picked to be the 'Featured Artist' and by voting for them they could have the opportunity to have their track played in full live on XFM. So make sure you come back every week and get you favorite on air.

How do I transfer my songs into MP3 format?

Your music track must be in MP3 format. There are many software applications available to convert your music track from a cd to an MP3 including itunes, winamp and windows media player. Other software applications for PC and Mac can be found below. Follow the instructions provided for your software application for more information.

The speed or pitch of my uploaded tracks seems different to the original.

To guarantee optimum playback of your music please ensure that all mp3 files to be uploaded have been encoded using a bit rate of 320 kbps and a sample rate of 44,100 Hz (44 kHz).

What are the Prizes?

The winning band from each region will be given the opportunity to be heard by all those listeners of XFM and you never know who might be listening!!!

What Do I need to load my band up?

To load your band is very simple you will need

Band Name
Email Address
MP3 format of your songs (up to 3 songs allowed)
Picture of your band/logo

What does my band need to enter?

All we need from you once you have signed up is at least one track but no more that 3.

Why do I have to enter my Phone number etc? will they be given to people to call me to sell things?

Your details are taken so that we at XFM can contact you if we need to regarding the competition we will not pass this information on to anyone else to be used for anything other than directly related to Uploaded without your permission. If you do wish to be notified of other offers, event related to XFM please tick the box.

Can I load more than one picture?

Yes you as a band have your own gallery so when you play at a gig upload the pictures the next day and keep us up to date with what you are up to.

Can we change our tracks?

Yes, once you have successfully loaded your band details you have your own page and therefore you can go in and edit it. However if you lucky enough to be one of the featured artists then you can not change your track during that week.

Why do we have to change our band name?

When you create your artist page you receive your own unique URL to send everyone you know and therefore we can not have bands with the same name so you may be asked to change it slightly to avoid confusion.

I haven't received the email to confirm my details?

Please check your 'junk mail' first before contacting us as it may be there. Also please check you have entered in your email address correctly, go back to the Homepage and attempt to log in on the right hand side, if your email is on its way you will receive a note saying that your login is pending and there is just a short delay on the email reaching you. If the email doesn't arrive within 3 hours please contact us on help@xfmuploaded.co.uk for help.

Why can we only enter one region?

In order to give everyone a fair chance we have opened the competition up to the three XFM regions offering the chance for 3 separate bands to be played on air.

Do we have to come from Manchester/Glasgow or London?

No it doesn't matter where you are from as long as you are a UK band

Is this the only way I can enter?

This is our preferred way for competition entries to be sent to us however if you are unable to load your details on to the page you can send your entry to:
